The Martha’s Vineyard Museum was founded in 1922 and is located in Edgartownand on Martha’s Vineyard. Their mission is to preserve and interpret collections that engage and connect the public to the Island’s history, art and culture.

Description of Digitized Collections

One collection is under consideration for future digitization as of the spring of 2013. The materials under consideration include a collection of more than 1100 glass plate negatives featuring Martha’s Vineyard subjects taken by Martha’s Vineyard native, Basil Welch.
