The New Bedford Free Public Library serves the community of New Bedford in Southeastern Massachusetts. Founded in 1852, they have a number of historical materials focusing on New Bedford, the whaling industry, Quaker history, and genealogy.
Description of Digitized Collections
Two collections of photographs were digitized in the spring of 2012. This includes around 800 tintypes, albumen, and silver gelatin prints from the Photograph Collection and approximately 760 mounted photographs from the Rotogravure Collection.
