The Sturgis Library is located in Barnstable, MA and is one of the oldest libraries in Massachusetts. Built in 1644, they are a historic public library with collections covering the history, genealogy, and maritime culture of Cape Cod.
Description of Digitized Collections
Two collections of genealogical and historical materials were digitized in the spring and summer of 2012. The materials include 50 handwritten volumes of vital records from 1966 and approximately 2,000 deeds and related legal documents from Cape Cod’s beginnings in the 1620s.
